Dear Friends,
Welcome to the NAC Church Planters Gathering | February 13–14, 2026.
Across Northern Australia, one of our key priorities is New Kingdom Ground—extending the reach of the church beyond where it is currently established, so that more people in our communities who do not yet know Jesus may come to know Him.
At the heart of this focus is Church Planting.
Some ask why we should plant new churches when many existing ones are struggling. The reality is sobering: what we are currently doing is not reaching the 84% of Australians who do not engage in church life at a meaningful rate (we refer to this as the majority culture). In fact, research indicates that without immigration, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia would have declined significantly between 2016 and 2021.
While we rejoice that many from overseas are finding a spiritual home in our churches, the data is clear—we are not effectively reaching Australia’s majority culture. If we do not plant now, if we do not step beyond what is already established and begin doing something different, we may deeply regret it in the decade ahead.
Why are you here?
You are here because you have sensed a call toward church planting.
Wherever you find yourself, we believe God has brought you here for a reason.
Over this weekend, we will:
We are grateful you are here—and thankful that you have listened to God’s call.
What God is calling you to is about to change the Kingdom trajectory of NAC – for eternity!
Blessings,
The NAC Leadership Team
